Venice Beach Venice Beach is a planned community with a preserved historic district whose architecture is reminiscent of the Italian Renaissance.
Located on the Gulf coast south of Sarasota, its location makes it a great location for relaxing by the beach or strolling through a museum. Locals refer to the town as the Shark Tooth Capital of the World, noting that children take great pleasure in sifting through the sand for sharks’ teeth.
