A State of Rivers Missouri is a state of rivers, with two of the major rivers in the country running through the state, Missouri and Mississippi. The two major population centers also demonstrate the diverse nature of the state, with a flavor of the West in Kansas City, and St Louis as a city rooted in the culture of the Mississippi River. Missouri is a predominantly rural state, and many of its attractions are rural in nature. Good Weather all the year round You can expect good weather in Missouri, with cool but not cold winters and warm summers, and about three to four inches of rain every month.
